To Our Dads

A simple wish for a Happy Father’s Day to all of my readers who are Dads and heartfelt prayers for all of our own fathers who have gone before us and those who are still here with us to celebrate this special day! Be sure to view the video I put together at the end of this post.

God took the strength of a mountain,

The majesty of a tree,

The warmth of a summer sun,

The calm of a quiet sea,

The generous soul of nature,

The comforting arm of night,

The wisdom of the ages,

The power of the eagle’s flight,

The joy of a morning in spring,

The faith of a mustard seed,

The patience of eternity,

The depth of a family need,

Then God combined these qualities,

When there was nothing more to add,

He knew His masterpiece was complete,

And so, He called it … Dad

Now, sit back and enjoy the following tribute that I’ve assembled for our Dads!

Lovely! My father KIA WWII leaving only several letters to me – my mom remarried when I was 4 and I got a Dad who hollered, reprimanded, walked me down the aisle, changed my babies diapers -filled any void there might’ve been – a real Dad – David E. Kelley
